Dilemma. Or not?

I have the opportunity to study a pastry chef course.
It's full time for eight months.
That means that I'll hardly have time, or energy, to progress my own business very much.
Dream vs Dream...

Baking hours

It's about 3:30 am and I'm waiting for the shaped dough to raise before going into the oven.
Yossi's 'potato' challa and Swedish rye bread with malt.
Soft music on the radio.
I like.

The Dream

Windows on both side of the entrance door. Crocheted curtains of course. Bakery smell when you enter.

Two-three small coffee tables with chairs to the left. A counter with cakes and cookies. Freshly brewed coffee. Real porcelain coffee cups. And you get a free refill.

A rack and a few shelves on the right. Mix of dolls and doilies, tops and toys, soft shawls, hip bags. Maybe even a bedspread. All knitted and crocheted.

Yarn of all sorts. And all those needles and hooks and other equipment that you can't find anywere else.

Welcome to enter and be swept away!

Oh my!

Didn't write anything at all in December :-o
Which doesn't mean that nothing happened - on the contrary. I've been busy.
A lot of planning. A lot of knitting and crocheting. And more to come.
I really look forward to 2009!

Tastings

Last week I offered my friends free tasings of my baking. I offered to deliver a small tasty package directly to them and my only request was that they should also get at least one package to send on to another friend of theirs and thus spread the word of Crochet a Cake.
A few friends accepted so on Thursday and Friday l had a great time in the kitchen:
In action

What was in the package?
- a loaf of "scalded bread with pomerantz"
- a "different" sweet chala
- a "ginger-orange" sponge cake
- a box of "coconut dreams" cookies

And you know what? I just got my first order for more!!!

Baby wrap meeting in Haifa

So I went with O to Haifa. She'd been invited to show her Dulcino wraps and I came along to show my "wrap accessories" and some other baby stuff:
L posing patiently on O's back.

Assorted 'nursing chains', 'pacifier finders', and baby toys.

A and L found another use of baby wraps.
