Scary

I really enjoy planning. Ideas pop up all the time. Using my imagination to create new products, new flavours, new patterns.

I love to try my ideas. To create something from a string of yarn, to mix ingredients and see it develop to something tasty.

My downfall is the marketing. I know what I need to do and how. But I'm reluctant to do it.
HELP!

February 1st 2010

D day. The day when I re-start reality. When I re-start my efforts to realize my dreams. Dreams that now have fleshed out.
I'm full of energy!

Why?

I have hardly been knitting or crocheting since I started the course. Am I not able to deal with two things at the same time?

Half way

We are now more or less half way through the course. It has been interesting. Not only the baking but getting to know new people and learning how to deal with some of them...

There is another month and a little to "finish it all" before we start apprenticeship and exams...

And then what?

Theme Song

One of my favourite songs as a kid:

En sockerbagare här bor i staden,
han bakar kakor mest hela dagen.
Han bakar stora, han bakar små,
han bakar några med socker på.

Och i hans fönster hänga julgranssaker
och hästar, grisar och pepparkakor.
Och är du snäller så kan du få
men är du stygger så får du gå!

And in (free) translation:

"A pastry chef lives in our town,
he bakes cookies all day long.
He bakes big, he bakes small,
he bakes some with sugar on top.

In his window hangs christmas decorations
and horses*, pigs* and gingerbreads.
If you're nice you might get one,
but if you're mean you'll have to go!"

But I like the variation that ends "If you're nice, you might get a small heart* to nibble on."

* cookie shapes - of course ;-)

The Class

It can be very interesting when 22 people in various ages from totally different backgrounds (ethnic and educational and life experience and... you name it) meet to learn about the one thing they have in common.
And sometimes very frustrating...

Long Time No See

Or write, in this case...
Half a year? Too long!
But I did start the course :-)
And there are a lot of things to write about :-)
I just need to get started...
